Pole dancing has gained popularity as a form of exercise, with increased awareness of the benefits to general strength and fitness. It can be used as both an aerobic and anaerobic workout. This form of exercise increases core and general body strength by using the body itself as resistance, while toning the body as a whole. It is a form of performing art, a combination of dancing and gymnastics. We will combine stretching and movement warm-ups, along with some core and upper body strengthening exercises to get you ready for the routines we will teach you during your 8 week session. The cardio portion of this class comes in when you practice your routine. Along with the physical benefits of vertical dance, the mental benefits are amazing . . . your self-confidence will increase and you get back in touch with YOU and your feminine side. This class is designed to make it all about you and what you will be able to do, no matter what your age or size is, you will benefit from this class. To be prepared for class, please wear shorts or skorts and a tank top and come barefoot!!

Cancellation Policy: DROP-INS - No refunds and No credits given for cancellations of any drop-in classes. 8 Week Series students must cancel within 24 hours of any class in order to receive a make-up by notifying the studio ONLY.
